Hi, I’m Hugh Ritchie.

I help business and technology teams/leaders navigate the complexity (and pitfalls) of implementing xECM for SAP, VIM, Drawing Management, and other solutions.

Let’s streamline your business information so it works better for your people and your organization, and you get more out of your business information management spend.

Guide not Guru.

With more than 25 years in the document management space. I’ve worked at all the major players, though I spent most of my career at OpenText. I’ve worked across industries and around the world.

All that experience taught me that for implementation success you need an experienced guide to travel the path with you and your team. Not someone with all the answers, someone with the questions needed to understand the nuances of your organization and your unique solution architecture.

Someone who will not only guide, but teach you and your team to manage your solution post-implementation.

Utilities are my Sweet Spot.

I know there are commonalities across many industries, but when it comes to managing the business life of your information, deep expertise in your industry segment makes all the difference.

I love the utilities business, the challenges of ensuring teams across departments and locations have the right information at the right time. It can a be a matter of life and death.

Even if I’m not the right person for you, let me encourage you to work with someone who knows your industry and understands the impact (and value) of managing the kinds of information you and your people need to do their work effectively. Someone who ‘gets’ the unique characteristics of how things get done in your world.

I also know Energy.

Making sure the right people have the right information at the right time is critical in the Energy sector, where risks are high, and incidents can be catastrophic.

But it’s not just critical incidents that matter, you also need the operational efficiency of easy access to accurate and complete information such as key manuals, procedures and asset information tied to SAP FLOCK.

Even if I’m not the right person for you, I recommend working with experts who know your industry and understand the impact (and value) of managing the kinds of information you and your people need to do their work effectively. People who ‘get’ the unique characteristics of how things get done in your world.

I also know Engineering Drawing Management.

Making sure the right people have the right information at the right time is critical in the managing engineering drawings. Managing and tracking controlled revisions, tracking drawing numbers, transmittals, revision tracking, are critical to the success of a project.

But it’s not just critical information, you also need the operational efficiency of easy access to accurate and complete information to make sure changes are adequately updated and auditable.

Even if I’m not the right person for you, I recommend working with experts who know your industry and understand the impact (and value) of drawing management. People who ‘get’ the unique characteristics of how things get done in your world of engineering drawing management.
